Mental Health Services

After making appointments with the attached link, Miss Tasia is educated in assisting students with mental health issues they may have. From depression to anxiety disorders, Miss Tasia will work with students to create fun and effective plans to improve students quality of life and work depending on the students needs. These meetings will be one on one and be held in 100% confidentiality.

Substance Abuse Help

Miss Tasia offers two programs on substance abuse. The first is a group program that occurs once a month. This group will be educated on substance abuse and how to prevent it, along with tips on how to help your loved ones with substance abuse. The second program is a one on one, confidential program created to help students with active addictions. She will give students alternatives unique to them, and create plans to help students stay off drugs long after they’re under her guidance.

Other Needs

Even if you’re not struggling with drugs or your mental health, Miss Tasia is always here if you need advice or just someone to talk to. Feel free to contact her through the “Get in Touch” button located below to begin working with her!

College Now is a free college transitional/dual enrollment program for New York City Department of Education high schools. College Now fuels future success and accelerates our student's learning. Any students who may have fallen behind or are struggling to catch up can quickly regain their credits through this program and take it a step further by getting ahead of the average student. Please contact the school dean, Miss Ashley for more information or with questions!
"On average, College Now alumni transfer more credits to CUNY (4.72 vs 0.70), earn more credits in their first semester (11.51 vs. 8.73), and have a higher GPA after their first semester when compared to students who did not participate in the program"

Green team was created to create a community bonding experience for students and adults alike, while helping our environment. We hope to use the skills and expertise of participants to develop plans, tackle environmental issues and come up with creative solutions. The program will open educational opportunities that raise community awareness and commitment to a better tomorrow. We never fail to turn experiences into learning possibilities, teachers will aim to keep students up to date on current events about the environment and its ever-changing conditions. Students are encouraged to teach and work with others to spread awareness and use their voice to keep our city GREEN.
We improve lives, one step at a time.

The "Giving Back" Project is a student lead organization that opens up the opportunity to meet lots of new people and help discover new passions or interests. The school dean, Miss Ashley will be advising this project. It is a great way to get to know your community and its citizens while allowing students to develop their leadership skills for the future. We hope to partner with local restaurants and businesses to provide essentials to local homeless shelters. Doing so will introduce internship and job opportunities to our student body, preparing them for the future and getting students in need back on track.
This project will also focus on learning and encouraging others to learn about current events around the globe. Students will aim to help those in need, whether it's those in our community or those across the world in an effort of giving back.

Taxes

NYCIDY school teaches young adults about taxes because it helps them succeed better. Also they should be able to practice on how to do taxes in class to give them an insight of what the real world is going be like. With more familiarity, practice, and confidence we allow our children to take control of their financial lives and learn more as they go.

Business class

We teach the students on what a tax should look like and show the students the process of what it’s like filling out a tax. Also a lot of kids in high school are going to be working jobs and in the future they have to be prepared to do so and prep takes time.

Finances

Our school teaches kids especially older kids that every Penny and dime count. A lot of teens these days aren’t being very wise of how they are  spending their money. Young adults need to learn how to save money and not just spend it all the time on something that is not useful to anything in the future.
